AutoBild TV with major distraction self-test
It was already reported in AutoBild issue 19 (May 8, 2015) – and now you could also follow the major self-test by AutoBild editors Stefan Voswinkel and Bernd Volkens on television. The focus was on distraction behaviour caused by smartphone use compared with alcohol and drug consumption.
The result was clear: texting is by far more distracting from what is happening on the road than alcohol or drug consumption. Reaction times while “texting” were many times higher.
Filming took place on AUDIO MOBIL’s closed test site with support from the Braunau police. You can conveniently watch the TV segment via the link below:
