Sustainability and Social Responsibility
We have a responsibility, and that is a good thing.
Because we are happy to take it on, as we think carefully, with a long-term perspective, and sustainably. We are aware that the industry we work in places considerable demands on the environment. On the other hand, this industry, like hardly any other, has led to individual freedom and the ability to reach places, people and cultures. So what exactly are we doing to truly be sustainable?
First, we review our supply chain to the best of our knowledge and belief. Money and margins are one thing; the future and responsibility are another. We believe that money can always be reproduced, but a squandered future cannot.
Then we make sure to be not only process-efficient, but also energy- and resource-efficient. We are working hard to continuously improve in this respect and have set Moore’s Law as our challenge.
In addition, we give serious thought to how we can bring logistics, emissions and secondary energy expenditure into a relationship that is not merely justifiable and defensible, but desirable.
