AUDIO MOBIL presents technologies at the BMW Supplier Innovation Day
A modern automobile consists of thousands of parts. What many drivers may not know is that the automobile manufacturer produces only a few of these themselves. The lion’s share of vehicle components is manufactured and supplied by the supplier industry. In this context, it is important for the automobile manufacturer to always integrate the highest possible technical standard for their vehicles and thus secure a competitive advantage.
Supplier Innovation Day as a guarantee for top equipment
To stay up to date on innovations and technical developments, vehicle manufacturers do not rely exclusively on their own research and development centers, but also bring suppliers with high innovation potential in-house. These presentation platforms—known in technical jargon as Supplier Innovation Days—enable corporations to explore new components and technology developments necessary for planned vehicle generations. In strict selection processes, less interesting developments or those unimportant to the vehicle strategy are excluded in advance in order to present only top innovations to the attending manufacturer delegations.
AUDIO MOBIL as a constant companion
Frequently “thinking outside the box” has made AUDIO MOBIL Elektronik GmbH from Ranshofen, Upper Austria, a popular exhibitor at Supplier Innovation Days. “Only if you know in which direction our future mobility will move can you create innovative and trend-setting technologies for the automotive industry,” says CEO Thomas Stottan, expressing satisfaction with the company’s development.
AUDIO MOBIL will soon demonstrate its expertise once again at BMW AG in Munich and present current technology developments to various specialist departments under the main theme of “Digital Mobility.” “It is a great feeling to know that you are working on things that will soon be found in well-known vehicles,” says Head of Development Thomas Hatheier, enthusiastic about his field of activity at AUDIO MOBIL.
Technical know-how is the key to success
To create such forward-looking technologies, mentally flexible hardware and software employees are needed who know how to implement such interdisciplinary development topics. “Thanks to local educational institutions, we have renowned training centers for exactly these personnel requirements. We can consider ourselves lucky to find top-trained, highly motivated developers right on our doorstep,” says Stottan, giving the higher technology-oriented schools in Upper Austria a positive assessment.
