AUDIO MOBIL expands its Ranshofen site

AUDIO MOBIL Elektronik GmbH is investing in its Ranshofen site. A 1,000 m² extension will, from January 2022, encompass an expansion of the test and validation area, investments in product quality and development, and an increase in production.

Ranshofen. On May 3, 2021, the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the AUDIO MOBIL site took place. The automotive supplier is focusing investments on test and validation processes, product quality, development, and production. With this extension, the company also ensures its ability to operate independently of environmental influences.

In addition to the standardized test site for the norm-compliant evaluation of distraction potential and operating safety of in-vehicle functionalities according to ÖNORM V 5090, further validation tests can be offered in the future.

For decades, AUDIO MOBIL has been active in the vehicle sector as a specialist for display and control systems, with a focus on infotainment. With the site expansion, further products in small and very small quantities can be offered in addition to the already known engineering services, in accordance with quality standards such as IATF 16949. Key areas include the rapid implementation of non-automotive technologies according to automotive standards, as well as series adaptations.

The site expansion during the pandemic not only demonstrates success in the automotive industry but also a willingness to invest in optimizing operational processes and the site itself. Additional jobs will be created in the development department.

The extension is scheduled to be operational in January 2022.
